Qualifications

Four Certificate III qualifications to match your needs.

Nationally recognised

Full Certificate III Qualifications

These four nationally recognised Certificate III qualifications provide comprehensive training, typically delivered over a number of months. Each consists of between 12 and 22 units of competency, providing the skills and knowledge needed for a career in the industry. Unlike our short courses, which lead to a Statement of Attainment, these programs lead to a full AQF qualification.

Three of these qualifications also incorporate training towards relevant industry licences, registrations or endorsements, allowing students to apply for these as they work towards completing the full qualification.

Four ways in

How you get one

What changes with the route is who employs you, how long it runs and who pays.

Apprenticeship

Apprenticeships combine a training contract with an employer and structured training at Aspire, typically over three years. This pathway applies to our two electrotechnology trade qualifications.

Traineeship

Traineeships combine practical workplace experience with structured training at Aspire, typically over a 12 month period. This pathway applies to our two ICT qualifications and is suitable for both new and existing employees.

Existing worker

Both ICT30524 and ICT30120 are available to existing workers through the Priority Industry Training program. No training contract is required, and course duration typically ranges from two to twelve months, depending on your existing skills, experience and schedule.

Recognition of prior learning

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) recognises skills and knowledge gained through previous work experience and training. It can reduce the amount of training required, allowing experienced workers to complete their qualification sooner.

Two of the four are funded

ICT30524 and ICT30120 are both funded under the Department of Training and Workforce Development’s Priority Industry Training Fund. Fees are capped at $400 a year for concession students and $1,200 for non-concession, where you are eligible.

After something shorter?

Our five short courses run on scheduled dates and finish in one to three days, with a Statement of Attainment at the end. If you need a licence or an endorsement rather than a full qualification, start there.
